The LindenterraSSe Hamburg
Our Lindenterrasse – Hamburg's most iconic spot for sunset moments. A place where guests meet over a glass of Riesling, soft jazz fills the room and the colours of the Elbe constantly change. Here, time slows down, the light shifts, and conversations flow as effortlessly as the river below the terrace.
A Terrace with History
A place of inspiration since 1791: our Lindenterrasse, shaded by majestic linden trees and opening onto sweeping views of the River Elbe. Created by French landscape gardener Daniel Louis Jacques, the terrace was designed as a retreat – the linden trees chosen for their resilience to the northern climate and their longevity. To this day, their leafy canopy provides cooling shade on hot summer days.
Here, time seems to slow. The Elbe becomes the backdrop for quiet moments, meaningful conversations and a true sense of escape – close enough to feel the city’s pulse, yet far enough to enjoy complete tranquility.
