Water use

We are aware that water is one of the most important resources and therefore the responsible management of water plays a prominent role in our efforts.

  • We regularly and systematically record water consumption by type.
  • The water comes from legal and sustainable sources that will not affect environmental flows in the future.
  • We ensure that all water installations and systems (e.g. fittings, cooling) are regularly serviced and maintained
  • Use of flow restrictors / aerators
  • Use of sustainable cleaning chemicals (where possible) to minimize environmental impact
  • 2-flush cisterns
  • Use of water-saving shower heads in all areas

Energy consumption and the energy transition

In the area of energy, we are actively implementing measures and developing concepts that include both our guests and our employees. Our main focus is on reducing the use of fossil fuels in order to make our contribution to environmental protection.

  • We purchase electricity from renewable sources to improve our carbon footprint - 100% green electricity
  • We regularly and systematically record and monitor energy consumption (e.g. electricity, heating oil, natural gas)
  • Use of modern LED technology
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of our technical equipment and systems
  • Modern heating and cooling systems
  • Use of combined heat and power units (only at the appropriate location)
  • Energy check with specialist consultant/expert (determination of energy requirements and consumption, description and analysis of weak points, suggestions for savings measures)
  • Own energy officer in the company
