Between the Sky and the Elbe
The LindenterraSSe Hamburg
Under the Linden Trees
A Terrace with History
A place of inspiration since 1791: our Lindenterrasse, shaded by majestic linden trees and opening onto sweeping views of the River Elbe. Created by French landscape gardener Daniel Louis Jacques, the terrace was designed as a retreat – the linden trees chosen for their resilience to the northern climate and their longevity. To this day, their leafy canopy provides cooling shade on hot summer days.
Here, time seems to slow. The Elbe becomes the backdrop for quiet moments, meaningful conversations and a true sense of escape – close enough to feel the city’s pulse, yet far enough to enjoy complete tranquility.
