Events on the Lindenterrasse

When the sun peeks through the canopy of lime trees and a pleasant breeze blows up to Hotel Jacob from the Elbe, it's lime tree terrace time. From here you have a fantastic view of the Elbe and the incoming ships.

This summer you can enjoy live music by various artists under the lime trees to coincide with the arrival of the great giants. All that's missing are a few cool drinks and, of course, you!

Susan Sieg

Susan Sieg has been working as an artist since 2004 and lives in Hamburg. Her preference for bold, bright colors and large, unusual formats led her to acrylic as a suitable form of expression, in which the acrylic paint is mainly applied with a palette knife. Sieg experiments with different materials, which she integrates into her works. Her personal expression with the help of mortar and granules gives her compositions a certain roughness, which is particularly characteristic of her paintings of people.

Kirstin Knorr

Kirstin Knorr lives and works in Hamburg. As an artist, she moves between photography and linocuts - always in search of graphic clarity and formal sophistication. In her black and white photographs, she reveals abstract structures in everyday scenes, while her mostly monochrome linocuts consist of a reduced vocabulary of forms and clear lines. Knorr combines traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics and creates works that strike an exciting balance between precision and materiality.
