Jacobs Restaurant on the Elbchaussee
Culinary flights of fancy - this is what Jacob's Restaurant has stood for for decades, closely associated with the name of head chef Thomas Martin. After holding two stars in the Michelin Guide for ten years, the restaurant has been pursuing a new course since 2022: without culinary compromises, but more relaxed and less ceremonial, the menu still bears the signature of Thomas Martin. Let yourself be inspired and look forward to enjoyable moments on the Elbchaussee.

Food & Wine
At the heart of our restaurant is French cuisine, interpreted in a modern and contemporary way by our head chef Thomas Martin and his team using regional, seasonal and organic produce. Our sommelier, Mika Müller, accompanies the search for the right wine with sensitivity and expertise, so that guests can enjoy the food on their plate and the wine in their glass.

The restaurant
A visit to Jacob's Restaurant is not just a culinary experience. The view of the Lindenterrasse and the Elbe is the star! The colors grey and green dominate the interior and through the large arched windows, the view opens onto the legendary Lindenterrasse.
The treetops carry the concept of the restaurant outside in terms of color. The ambience is also characterized by the stucco ceiling and the four murals, which originate from the historic ballroom from 1895 and are thus also witnesses to many happy moments.

Personalities
Thomas Martin
Thomas Martin has been head chef at Jacobs Restaurant since 1997 and has established his reputation far beyond the borders of Hamburg. he was awarded two Michelin stars for the first time in 2011.
On his Instagram account, he inspires his followers with his easy-to-follow cooking videos. in 2021, "Der Feinschmecker" voted him one of the most important influencers on the cooking scene. Since 2017, Thomas Martin has regularly appeared as a judge on the cooking show "Die Küchenschlacht" and enjoys top viewing figures.

Mika Müller
Mika Müller has been the new sommelier at Restaurant Jacob since spring 2023 and is therefore responsible for the world of wine. However, the Jacob is not a new employer, as the 41-year-old completed his training as a restaurant specialist at the Hotel Louis C. Jacob.
His training at the "Kleiner Jacob" with its extensive wine list sparked his interest and passion for fine wines. He developed this further at Landhaus Scherrer under sommelier Florian Fiermann and deepened his experience at Traube Tonbach with Stéphane Gass. From Baiersbronn, further stations took him back to Hamburg. Most recently, Mika Müller worked as Sommelier and Chef de Rang at the Hanse Lounge Private Business Club.
