ART BETWEEN THE SEAS
Our events on the Linden Terrace combine sophisticated indulgence with inspiring art. Powered by KUNST ZWISCHEN DEN MEEREN – a Hamburg-based gallery for contemporary art and sculpture – we’ve invited renowned artists to showcase their work on the Linden Terrace and be present in person at many of the events. This creates space for personal encounters and engaging conversations about art and creativity.

Susan Sieg
Susan Sieg has been working as an artist since 2004 and lives in Hamburg. Her preference for bold, vibrant colors and large, unconventional formats led her to acrylics as a suitable medium, with the paint being primarily applied using a spatula. Sieg experiments with various materials, integrating them into her works. Her personal expression through the use of mortar and granules gives her compositions a certain roughness, which is especially characteristic of her portrayals of people.

Kirstin Knorr
Kirstin Knorr lives and works in Hamburg. As an artist, she moves between photography and linocut, always in search of graphic clarity and formal refinement. In her black-and-white photographs, she exposes abstract structures in everyday scenes, while her mostly monochrome linocuts consist of a reduced vocabulary of forms and clear lines. Knorr combines traditional techniques with contemporary aesthetics, creating works that establish a dynamic balance between precision and materiality.

Luk Schäfer
Luk Schäfer's works are striking for their high emotionality. Gradients of color transform into emotional states, while contrasts act as emotional interjections. What makes his work unique is how light is powerfully kept in motion through the multiple primed backgrounds. The distinctive compositions of vibrant colors, free lines, and geometric structures create a powerful visual language. The motif and materials portray what allows the human spirit to grow positively from within.
