March to July: The herb journey begins

march 2025: We lay the foundation for our herb journey by sowing the fine herbs and flowering plants in the Loki Schmidt Garden. The botanical garden, known for its diversity of plants, provides the ideal backdrop for the aromas and essences that will enchant your palate in July. Out and about in the Hamburg Botanical Garden

on the second day, you will set off together with Thomas Martin at 12 noon for the Botanical Garden. An exclusive two-hour guided tour with Professor Dominik Begerow, Director of the Botanical Garden, and Nils Kleissenberg, Technical Director and plant expert, awaits you there. Under the motto"Smell, taste, feel", you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of herbs and flowers and harvest your own crops for later processing by our star chef.

At 3 p.m. you will return to the Jacob, where we will welcome you to a standing reception on our picturesque lime tree terrace from 5:30 p.m. onwards.

a very special highlight awaits you as part of our arrangement: enjoy the exquisite 5-course herbal menu specially created by Thomas Martin on July 2 from 18:00, including corresponding wines from our sommelier Mika Müller.
