Autumn break on the Elbe

The leaves turn the most beautiful colors and the air is cold and clear. Autumn is one of our favorite seasons in Jacob. Be inspired by our experience tips for the golden months. After your day trip, we invite you to enjoy a freshly brewed tea in our lobby. Make yourself comfortable in front of our fireplace and enjoy your autumn break à la Jacob.

Apple orchard
THE OLD COUNTRY
Pretty half-timbered houses with lush rose gardens, rippling small bodies of water and, of course, huge orchards. This is "Dat Ole Land"! It lies in the primeval valley of the Elbe and is best explored by bike. Enjoy delicious apple pie with freshly whipped cream in one of the many farm cafés. If you visit the Alte Land during the apple harvest, you will of course have to lend a hand and fill your own apple basket with a wide variety of apples.
Warehouse district
STORAGE CITY
The Speicherstadt is as much a part of Hamburg as the seagulls on the Landungsbrücken! The World Heritage Site is firmly anchored in the city's history and is always a very special photo opportunity for our guests in the setting autumn sun. The historic buildings were once warehouses for coffee, tea, carpets and goods from all over the world. Today, in addition to many office spaces, the Speicherstadt also houses the Miniatur Wunderland, the Hamburg Dungeon and many interesting museums.
HARBOR CRUISE
Experience Hamburg from the most beautiful perspective. An absolute must-do during a stay in our beautiful Hanseatic city is a harbor cruise. The glittering Elbe magically attracts Hamburg lovers hungry for adventure, especially in the autumn light. Whether with a glass of champagne on our MS Jacob or on a small barge through the Speicherstadt - when the Elbe wind blows through your hair, the vacation feeling sets in within seconds.

Green oasis in the middle of the city

Planten un Blomen

It is not for nothing that Planten un Blomen is also known as "Hamburg's green lung". Here you have time to take a deep breath as you stroll through the natural park oasis. Watch the colorful fish in the landscaped ponds over a hot coffee to go or marvel at the native herbs in the Apothecary Garden. The lush rose garden is also particularly beautiful. Almost 300 different varieties of roses bloom here alongside small shrubs and small trees.

For quiet hours

BRITISH TEA TIME
Experience a cozy break in our Jacob and enjoy your little tea time with delicious sandwiches and sweet scones with a view of the Elbe.
Deer park nienstedten
The small park on the Elbchaussee offers plenty of peace and quiet, small forest paths and lovingly designed animal enclosures to enjoy nature.
Staircase district
A walk through the Treppenviertel in Blankenese is particularly beautiful in the golden fall light. Don't forget your camera. The postcard motif is shown in the best light.
Elphilharmonie
The Plaza of the Elbphilharmonie is a must for every new visitor to Hamburg. The breathtaking view of the glittering Elbe in the evening light is simply unmistakable. Or take a look at the Elphi's program right now! Is there perhaps a suitable concert for you?
movie night
You can round off a beautiful autumn evening with a good movie at the cinema. The Astor Film Lounge in Hafencity is the city's first premium cinema and offers you an exceptional service.

Linden terrace

The temperatures really start to rise in the fall and it gets a little cooler. That's why we move our service to our bar, restaurant and lobby during the colder seasons. But a view of the Elbe from the Lindenterrasse is worthwhile at any time of year. Enjoy for a moment the rustling leaves of the lime trees and the view as far as the container port.
